The Point Marion Borough Council has proclaimed October Domestic Violence Awareness Month in the Borough and encourages all residents to learn more about domestic violence and to help create a safer, stronger community free of domestic violence.
The Borough will decorate a tree in purple bows and purple lights for Domestic Violence Awareness Month in the center of town. You can show your support by decorating your home or business with purple ribbons during October.
There will be a Domestic Violence Awareness Vigil on October 16th at 7p.m. in Point Marion on the corner of Penn and Railroad Streets to help raise awareness of and prevent domestic violence.
