CALL TO ORDER: The Regular Meeting of the Point Marion Borough Council was called to order by President DuBois at 7:14 PM. A moment of silence was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL: President DuBois, Vice President Reynolds, Councilwoman Griffith, Councilmen Kaczmarczyk, Kelley and Mayor Ables present with Councilwomen Shaffer and Evans absent. A quorum is present.
ENGIN EER’S REPORT: No Report
PUBLIC COMMENT: None
REDING OF THE MINUTES: Council reviewed the minutes of the January 21, 2015 Regular Meeting that were provided prior to this meeting Having no additions or corrections, a motion by Vice President Reynolds and second by Councilwoman Griffith to accept the minutes as presented. Motion Carried.
MAYOR’S REPORT: Mayor Ables presented and reviewed the Police Activity Report for January by Southwest Regional Police Department. He also presented the Code Officer Activity Report for January.
SECRETARY/TREASURER/BOROUGH MANAGER’S REPORT: Mr. Strimel reported that he has received the delinquent Per Capita tax statements from the Tax Collector. We have the statements for the last 2 years and in the past we turn over 3 years tax statements to Southwest Regional Tax Bureau for collection. There will be no cost to the Borough and the collection cost to the residents is reasonable. A motion by Councilman Kaczmarczyk and second by Vice President Reynolds to turn the delinquent tax statements to the Southwest Regional Tax Bureau for collection. Motion Carried. He then reported on the status of the raw water pump, it has been ordered and delivery expected in 4 to 6 weeks. We had received 3 estimates for the replacement of the pump and motor and the lowest price was $ 23,500.00 delivered.

GRANTS/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Councilman Kelley reported on
Regular Meeting February 4, 2015
A meeting hosted by National Road Heritage to bring together municipalities and organizations together to complete the sections of the
rail trail. There are at least 2 new groups that are working to connect sections of the trail. A conference called “Power 32” will concentrate on the connecting the trails.
PARK: Councilman Kelley stated that plans are coming along for Riverfest
2015, formally Regatta, with the next meeting February 16, 2015. A
Bowers Hoagie sale will be held March 21, 2015 with orders and
payment due on March 14, 2015.
LIBRARY: No Report
POLICE: No Report
STREETS: Mr. Strimel commended our employees for the good job they are
doing with snow removal this winter. He stated that as soon as weather
permits we will be working on the many potholes that have come up.
